Knowing what this would mean, Ella refuses to not only protect Kit, but also the kingdom from her calculating stepmother even if it means the cost of her future happiness. It entails granting the stepmother power over Kit, the prince, and favorable marriages for her stepsisters in exchange for Ella to be able to be with Kit. At one of the critical points of the movie, Ella (named Cinderella by her evil stepsisters) is offered a deal from her cruel stepmother.

The movie is filled with obvious good messages and positive moral actions just like its protagonist, who shows the beauty of a servant’s heart. I believe the movie was balanced and family friendly because it was still geared towards children with hints of humor, but also had a captivating story that could be enjoyed by older audiences. The visual effects help to engage the audience and support the movie in a practical way that blends in seamlessly with the narrative.
They revamped the old tale by adding more depth and emotion to the characters and story that the original was lacking. While watching this film, the viewer can tell it was skillfully developed by the director (Kenneth Branagh) and his team over the course of many years with its excellent writing, amazing cast, gorgeous costumes and sets, magical soundtrack, and stunning cinematography. Why try to remake something that is already so good? In the end, Disney surprised me by going above and beyond my expectations and producing one of my favorite films that even outshined the original. When I found out that Disney was remaking Cinderella into a live action movie, I was at first skeptical because I didn't know if they were going to do her story justice and put the needed work into it. One of the first ones that my parents bought for me was the classic Cinderella. When I was a little girl, I enjoyed watching any Disney movie. There's a little mild language ("stupid," "shut up") and some background drinking at a party. The stepmother's cruelty and neglect toward Cinderella could scare some kids. But the prince is transfixed by Cinderella after meeting her just once, and she has no future until he comes and rescues her. Everything about the film is visually stunning - from the sets to the costumes to the actors - and being a courageous, kind person is a constant theme.
The prince's father also dies, and Cinderella is a beautiful, kind, and dutiful young woman (albeit one with an unreailstically tiny, corset-cinched waist) who's left to suffer at the hands of her evil stepmother (the divine Cate Blanchett). Both are drawn-out scenes filled with tears and intense sadness, which could upset younger kids. As a child, Cinderella ( Downton Abbey's Lily James) loses her mother her father dies when she's older. Parents need to know that this non-musical take on Cinderella is true to the classic Disney animated tale, if somewhat more intense given that it's live action instead of a cartoon.
